  abstract      = {The paper describes the application of evolutionary algorithms for multicriteria optimization of molding schedule in a foundry which produces iron castings and uses hand molding machines. A mathematical model is defined and reflects all the constraints resulting from the limited capacities of furnaces and machine lines, limited resources, customers requirement and manufacturing process. A test problem based on real production data is used for evaluation of the proposed algorithm.}
