  abstract      = {Applications for mobile devices are becoming more and more popular and the more complex they become, the more evident is the need for automated testing frameworks allowing unsupervised regression tests, with particular focus on the graphical user interface. While automated testing (also called \emph{capture-replay}) has been thoroughly discussed in literature with respect to desktop applications, mobile development limits automation possibilities significantly. To our best knowledge no comprehensive framework for automated testing of mobile applications exists. In this paper we demonstrate preliminary results of our attempt to design and implement a framework for capturing and replaying user interaction in Java2 Microedition environment. The outcomes are so far very promising and have been evaluated on a complex commercial mobile navigation system.}
